In the Spotlight

At Orleans Jr./Sr. High, students in the Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing classes are gaining hands-on experience through Bulldog Manufacturing, their student-run business. This initiative allows students to design, produce, and sell unique products, showcasing both their creativity and technical expertise.

Among their projects are custom gym floor products, including coffee tables, court replicas, and laser-engraved pieces. These items are sold to the public and highlight the students' design skills and craftsmanship.

The team also produces planter boxes, designed with CAD software and crafted using woodworking machinery. These high-quality creations have become popular additions to homes in the community.

For a festive touch, Bulldog Manufacturing programmed and machined plywood snowmen using their CNC flatbed router. Sold locally, these decorations spread holiday cheer while demonstrating the students' advanced machining capabilities.

Bulldog Manufacturing is more than just a classroom project. It provides students with the opportunity to develop real-world skills in design, production, and entrepreneurship. We are proud of these young innovators who are making an impact in the community while preparing for bright futures.
